Well... What can I say? I haven't been doing much, except for working. We did rent a lot of movies. I have seen: Memoirs of a Geisha, North Country, Prime, Walk the Line, (And someone made me watch Brokeback Mountain >.<. )

Memoirs of a Geisha is an excellent movie!! North Country was good, Prime did not end the way I expected, (that's not a bad thing.), and Walk the Line was good, (I didn't know anything about Johnny Cash.). Brokeback Mountain was... boring. I didn't like it. Now, don't start flaming me, I have gay friends. I have nothing against gay people, I just thought the movie was boring, that's all.

Anyway, I am looking forward to buying Memoirs of a Geisha, and the soundtrack also.

In other news, I will be returning to my hometown in June for a little over a week to spend time with family and friends. I am eagerly looking forward to it.

Oh, I forgot, besides working last week, I did get to go to the beach with my husband and some friends. It was too cold to swim yet, but there were a lot of crabs buried in these little holes in the beach up by the fence, and it was fun trying to sneak up on them, hehe. ^_^

So... Today is Ostara, (the celebration of the Spring equinox), and like a good girl, I'm up before dawn to greet the sun, but it's overcast outside, lol. Yes, Ostara is a pagan festival. I read that some believed on this day the goddess Eostre travels around the land in the form of a hare renewing life and fertilizing the earth. Her name is the name of the festival, Eostre, or Ostara. If the name Eostre sounds familiar, that's because Easter got it's name from her. So, if anyone has ever wondered where the Easter bunny came from, there's the answer. Eggs are also tied into all of this in the early Christian periods. But, don't worry, I'm not bashing Christians, or anyone else. It's actually facinating to read where many of the Easter customs originated from.

The explinations can be found, it's just no one ever looks for them. Or, they look for them in the wrong places. I remember asking where the idea of chocolate eggs and the Easter bunny came from, but no adult I asked ever knew the answer, or what it had to do with Christ. Many books for little kids don't even seem to know the answer. When I was at work last night, some lady was on the phone while checking out saying she'd bought her grandaughter a book on Easter. It was supposed to explain the Easter bunny and Christ's resurection, but it didn't seem to know anything about the Easter bunny. ^_^;

Anyway, I wasn't going to fill this up with stuff I read, or "lecture" anyone. Unfortunately, I didn't really have the time, (or counter space) to make hot cross buns this year, so, I bought some muffins instead, hehe.

On another note, my husband is taking the E4 exam today. (E4 = Petty Officer 3rd class in the Navy.) I wish him all the luck he can muster, 'cause this means he's in direct competition with everyone else in his rank. Only a certain amount will get promoted. I really hope he makes it.

On another side note, I got volume one of Batman last week, hehe.

So, I made it through St.Patrick's Day.  I didn't have any of the evil green beer though. I decided to have the "traditional" Irish Cream. But, because of places like Starbucks, I have become spoiled and I prefer "cold" coffee to regular "hot" coffee. So... I bought some Bailey's, Hershey's syrup, Starbucks mocha "Frappuccino", and some vanilla ice cream and made some "milkshakes". The result was really good. Even my huband liked it. (He doesn't really like chocolate at all.) I was using a smoothie maker, so they weren't as thick as a milkshake should have been, but it was still really good.

Not much to report on other than that. We bought DDR Extreme 2 (because no one seems to have just DDR Extreme), and it was pretty good 'cause we got the game and dance pad in the same box. I would have to agree with my friend Nicole that it's not quite as good as DDR Extreme, but I did have a lot of fun doing the umm... Dance Master Mode (?) and unlocked a bunch of stuff. ^_^ And, I like some of the new characters too. I haven't unlocked any new ones yet.

Okay, I'm writing this to say that I'm sorry I don't surf the web very much, and some day I'm going to sit down and read all of the posts on my friends' blogs so I can see how much I've been missing. >.<

There isn't very much going on here. Today is nice outside. I'm so glad that Spring is finally here, (although I hear it's supposed to snow in my home town). And like all nice days, I have to work. But, the managers at work have been lying to me. I applied for the garden center, and they made me a cashier. I have been repetedly asking about when they were going to move me, and they said that when they do, I will only be a cashier over there. >.< So, I'm going to apply at Lowe's. Hopefully I can do something else. Why is it so important I not be a cashier? Because I went to college for Horticulture, and I don't want to see the plants from a distance as I scan their stickers with my gun. I want to work with the plants.

Anyway, St. Patrick's Day is coming up (!!), and I plan to stay home and celebrate with my husband. ^_^ Call me a noob if you want, but I like Bailey's. I think I'm going to make like, a milkshake or something with it. Why pay outrageous prices at Starbucks when you can do it at home? Hehe.

So, to my friends, Justin and Derrick, I swear I will get around to reading your blogs. I might even read Nicole's if she ever writes anything in it, hehe. (I am not one to talk.) And of course, I'll be reading Danielle's also. ^.^

Hello? Is this thing on?

Hello to anyone who actually reads this. I just recently decided to start this back up, only because my friends have journals, and I fell left out, heh. But, this won't be as cool as theirs, 'cause I don't feel like paying to have extra "fun" options. Free is good.

My life isn't as interesting as I may wish it to be, so this is really just a place for my friends to leave comments. So, without further ado, let the flaming begin, lol.
